PBA

The boyfriend and I watched the PBA game last night with two other college friends at the Araneta Colisuem. Duel between the crowd favorite (weh?) Brgy. Ginebra Kings and my personal pick Meralco Bolts - mainly because of Mac Cardona. Hihi. ♥

Got there with still a period left in the first game, Air21 vs my other pick - TNT (Cardona’s former team).

The Kings picked up their game during the first few minutes but the Bolts slowly crawled their way to the scoreboards due to the heroics of Captain Hook. He ended the 1st quarter of play with 8points.

Cardona was booed (by the Ginebra crouwd, ofc) during the entire game whenever he has the ball, because they didn’t like that little thing he did when he got his second field goal (I think). But knowing Mac, he’s been like that since his La Salle days, or maybe even before that. He’s much of an emotional player and I (with 101% of his fans) very much understand his attitude on the hard court.

Though sometimes his emotions get the better of him (remember that kick he gave Tubid way back in 2007), I do believe it’s also what makes him different from the other players. I love it when he gets booed and he just silences them with his hook shots and three pointers, it makes him so “maangas” like that. Haha. I think he feels so flattered because he gets booed, because that would just mean that the opponent’s fans are aware of his presence, they feel threatened (or annoyed, or for whatever reason).

‘kay stop. This is becoming like a sports article (lel asa) more than a blog entry and an overwhelming set of praises for MC14. Hahaha.  /Fangirling forevs. ♥

And by the way, the boys won with an 89-80 record. Guess who was hailed as best player of the game? Hihi. Tinatanong pa ba yan.
